President Donald Trump contradicted his Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Tuesday, on Iran’s nuclear weapons capabilities.
Mediaite reported that the president made his remarks during an early morning exchange with reporters aboard Air Force One on his way back to Washington, D.C., from the G7 summit in Canada.
After Trump insisted that Tehran was “very close” to achieving a nuclear weapon, CNN’s Kaitlan Collins reportedly reminded him about Gabbard’s assessment from earlier this year.
