Taylor Swift Rumored To Be In KC For Chiefs Vs. Broncos

If she makes it, Taylor Swift will be cheering on Travis Kelce in person for the third time in four weeks.

Save for those people in the overlapped section of a Chiefs Kingdom/Swifties Venn Diagram, the general mood of many football fans around the Taylor Swift hype seems to be an intense rolling of the eyes. But much like each year’s Super Bowl, sometimes the excitement and atmosphere surrounding an event surpasses the game itself.

And so, Taylor Swift is rumored to be back in Kansas City for her second game at GEHA Field At Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on her maybe-boyfriend Travis Kelce. By the way, the Chiefs list Kelce’s playing status as questionable following his ankle injury in Minnesota. And apparently, she snuck into town to hang with Travis last week between his birthday and the Vikings game.

While she didn’t make the trip to Minneapolis for that game, fan reaction from all sides following Travis’ injury was very entertaining. NFL diehards re-framing ‘The Madden Curse’ as the ‘Taylor Curse’. Swifties wringing their hands out of concern for Taylor’s boy. And then unity among both sides with calls to ban artificial turf!

For all the possible distraction a month’s worth of swirling rumors that one of the world’s biggest pop stars might be attending games in person to support their teammate, the Chiefs have maintained their focus fairly capably. Despite making fans nervous during the New York Jets game, the team is undefeated during this stretch.

Interested in an actual football subplot for Thursday night’s AFC West matchup? Former Chief and current Bronco, Frank Clark, has been ruled out ahead of the game due to illness. But earlier this week he spoke about the rivalry (or lack thereof):

Meanwhile, are former Chiefs teammates Frank Clark and Chris Jones campaigning to get Chiefs GM Brett Veach to make a trade to get Clark back to KC after less than a season?

The Chiefs winning streak against Denver stands at 15. Should that streak end tonight, Swifties better ready their defenses of their girl! Because justified or not, ‘The Taylor Curse’ will probably take the blame.
